Ebony Wood

Ebony is a very hard ,heavy and black wood! It can be used in any application. By it self or for inlaid projects. There is also a Macassar Ebony which is brown and stripped. African Blackwood looks the same but has different properties!

Is there any one type of Ebony that is used more regularly or commonly than any other?

Black ebony is more popular. For many years it was used commercially for knife handles etc.

I am also very fascinating towards Black Ebony wood because it is not only hard & weighted, but also offer a very nice-looking of furnishing too. That is why it would remain my first choice ever, in case of wood.
